Bharat Ke Veer – donate to families of martyrs in Armed Forces

Indians all over the world were shocked to hear about the terror attack at Pulwama, Kashmir (the deadliest attack in Kashmir, India over the past few decades). Many countries have condemned this cowardly attack on a day when people all over the world celebrate love (Valentine’s day).
This post is to spread awareness about the official website by Government of India to donate to the families of the martyrs or to the general Corpus Fund for CAPF martyrs. Here are the key details about Bharat Ke Veer (India’s Bravehearts):
⦁ This initiative is an official website by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and was launched in April 2017
⦁ Donations can be made to each martyr up to a maximum of 15 Lakh rupees (1.5 million Indian Rupees) or can be made directly to the general Corpus Fund which will be distributed to the families of the CAPF martyrs (The fund will be managed by Senior Government officials)
⦁ Donations can be made using Internet Banking (Indian accounts) or by Credit Cards/ Debit Cards for International donors. State Bank of India has created a UPI (Unified Payments Interface) for Bharat Ke Veer to make contributions easier
⦁ All donations to Bharat Ke Veer website are Tax Exempt in India under Section 80 (G)
